This combination reduces rate of recurrence within 18 months. Aspirin/NSAIDs are important in relief of chest pain but do not affect the natural progression of pericarditis. WebMyopericarditis is inflammation in two different parts of your heart, but mostly in the protective sac around it (pericardium). Most people get myopericarditis from a virus, but medicines provide relief. Still, recovery can take a few weeks. Long-term effects from it aren’t common.
